Global Events: South Africa Set To Host as G20 Summit Holds on November 22nd and 23rd, 2025, For First Time Ever In Africa

The 2025 G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg is officially scheduled for November 22–23, 2025. It will be held in Gauteng Province, marking the first time a G20 leaders’ summit takes place in Africa. Under the leadership of President Cyril Ramaphosa, South Africa’s G20 presidency is expected to focus heavily on global economic reforms, climate finance, and the role of developing nations in global governance. The summit will convene leaders from the world’s 19 largest economies and the European Union—collectively representing over 80% of global GDP, trade, and emissions
