“Lights kept going off. Not much to see. Good cinema”
“This place is fast losing it’s allure. Even on weekends it rarely registers as a fun spot. You you check out the cafe out front. If you can get beyond the expensive drinks and excess pepper in your meat, the MC, a smallish bloke by name Chinedu, isn’t bad. He does what he can to make sure you enjoy your stay.”
“Gone are the good old days of Silver bird Cinemas…. You are now forced to buy their popcorn as tickets now come with popcorn so they have jacked up their prices to accommodate this. A cosmetic makeover was applied to the cinema but the same old uncomfortable seats are still there. My candid advice their other cinemas with better amenities”
“I haven’t visited in years, can’t believe how run down this place is….. One half of the escalator doesn’t work, building exterior and interior looks dirty, SilverBird you can do better!!!”
“Dull place….I would rather any one visits Filmhouse IMAX cinema in Lekki phase 1 for a fresher n more thrilling experience”
“Cool place. Staff need to learn better customer service.”
“It has lost its formal glory. Most shops where empty. The escalator wasn’t working. Toilet’s were dirty”
gbolade ogunfowote”Cinema is good, expensive on weekends though. Lack of food spots or restaurants, lack of cafes or places to chill, overall dull vibe, no mart or supermarkets, only sitting area is outside the cinema. Soft drinks and water is overpriced at the cinema. There’s a bar: Silver Cafe which is ok, serves decent food. I only go for the cinema though”

“Needs a lot more attention and work. Serves the purpose but more of a ‘lack of choice’ location than a ‘i want to be there’. If you’re watching a movie, great, focus on the movie. Everything else gives a ‘run down vibe. Was there on a Monday so maybe that amplified it.”
“Silverbird has failed to sustain the high standards with which they started almost 15 years ago.
Most shops are poorly patronized and many businesses have shut down. The building has a general run-down feel and limited parking space is a major constraint for patrons.
The concession stand is good (although I’m not a fan of the Pepsi/7Up range of drinks that they offer) and the ambience on the cinema floor has recently been done up.
Set in a prime location, they need to do a lot more to win back their customers who seem to prefer other locations with better facilities. Watching movies in an empty hall is no fun”
