The European Union Throws Full Support Behind Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo Iweala for DG of WTO Role

A memo from the European Union, released in early October 2020, has indicated that the Union has identified Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as their foremost candidate to take on the role of Director General of The World Trade Organization. Many Africa leaders for the past 10 months of 2020 have also thrown great support behind the former Nigerian Minister. The European Union indicated their second best candidate would be Yoo Myung-hee from South Korea.
