The seventh African Union – European Union Summit will take place on 24–25 November 2025 in Luanda, Angola, marking twenty-five years of Africa-Europe partnership. Leaders will focus on peace and security, trade, digital transformation, climate action, migration, and human development, with Europe’s Global Gateway investment package at the center of discussions. Africa is expected to push for industrialization, fair financing, and stronger integration, while Europe will emphasize connectivity, green growth, and resilience.
The summit is viewed as a strategic moment to reset relations in a shifting global order, especially as other powers expand their footprint in Africa. Success will depend on whether leaders commit to measurable actions such as scaling climate finance, advancing regional infrastructure, and strengthening security cooperation. Analysts highlight that inclusivity and youth participation will be crucial for ensuring the partnership translates into tangible benefits for people across both continents.
