Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, congratulated Kemi Adeosun,  the Minister of Finance  for becoming a part of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the ruling party in Nigeria, and also welcomed her on twitter. The Minister of Finance officially joined the APC on Saturday 5th of May, when she collected her membership card at Abeokuta Ogun state, and also posed in a photograph with the National Financial Secretary of the APC, Alhaji Tajudeen Bello, after her registration.

It is however, still uncertain if the minister intends to run for an elective position at the 2019 upcoming general elections.
