Diezani Alison Madueke is known to most Nigerians as the most corrupt woman the country ever had in political powers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria has officially announced the commencement of the extradition process for Diezani Alison Madueke, former minister of petroleum during ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s regime, from the UK. The acting spokesman of the commission Tony Orilade disclosed that the operations department of the commission has made a formal presentation to its legal department to begin the process. According to Mr Tony Orilade; “It is ongoing. Within the next few weeks, the extent to which we have gone will be made known to the public,” “It is not a fresh case; it is not a fresh petition that is just being looked into; the whole process is a total package. “This extradition is just an aspect of Diezani’s investigation and commencement of trial.” The extradition process is said to be handled through the office of the attorney-general of the federation.
