Final Judgement Opinion Series: As The “Me Too” Era Rises, Is Comic Actor Bill Cosby Guilty Of Multiple Counts Of Sexual Assault?

Famed and well revered actor of the popular 1990s sitcom “Cosby Show”, Bill Cosby since his trials and tribulations began in 2014, has fallen from grace to grass. His turmoil began in 2005 with Andrea Constand’s civil suit which he settled out of court. Then again in 2014 Constand’s accusations resurfaced and since then over 30 additional women have accused him of sexual assault and molestation. For those not fully aware of the case, Bill Cosby was said to have drugged (most often with a drugs named Quaaludes and Benadryll) and then sexually had his way, without consent, with several women dating as far back as the 1960s. Let’s hear from a few of the women who said he drugged them and then:

“The next morning, I woke up and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she claims. “Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain.” – Janice Dickinson

“My next memory is I felt high; I don’t remember what happened in the meantime. Then my next memory is being in that vanity room, by that big mirror, and he didn’t have any clothes on, and obviously I didn’t either by that point. I don’t know how they got off. I don’t have that memory… I was just like bent over, and he was saying all kinds of dirty stuff,” she said. “I felt powerless, I didn’t know what to do.”- Therese Serignese

“By the time we walked back to his dressing room, I was having problems walking. When we entered the dressing room, I sat on the couch and he started taking my pants down … I felt helpless and I couldn’t stop him.” – Lynn Neal
“He threw me on the bed and braced his arm under my neck so I couldn’t move my head, and he started trying to take his clothes off… I remember all the clinking of his belt buckle. And he was trying to take my pants down, and I was trying to keep them on.” – Barbara Bowman

“I was sitting down in between his legs with my back to his crotch, he started to stroke my hair back in a petting motion. The last thing I remember is just feeling the strokes on my head. After that I don’t remember anything else.” – Lisa

In Cosby’s defense, his lawyer once stated: “Mr. Cosby is no stranger to discrimination and racial hatred, and throughout his career Mr. Cosby has always used his voice and his celebrity to highlight the commonalities and has portrayed the differences that are not negative — no matter the race, gender and religion of a person.”

Now, on to the final judgement Opinion verdict:
Bill Cosby is an old man at 81 years old. Even more damaging, he is legally blind. On the other hand, he has had way through life from fame to wealth to power to illegally drugging tens of women. We believe he has suffered many hardships through the course of the trial. He has posted bail of over $1million. His “America’s Dad” title has been swept away from him. All his shows have been pulled off TV. He is now a less-revered hated rapist. He is old, too. Nonetheless, we believe Bill Cosby is guilty. He is facing up to 30 years in jail. He deserves to spend some time in jail along with thousands of other convicted less-popular criminals. In as much as we do know that the “Me Too” era has brought about many false claims, the evidence against Bill Cosby is overwhelming.
