Current president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, revealed in November 2018 that Robert Mugabe is paralyzed and unable to walk. Emmerson Mnangagwa is a very close friend of Mugabe and was a strong part of the former president’s government. According to Emmerson Mnangagwa, “He is now old. Of course, he now is unable to walk but whatever he asks for we will provide.” Robert Mugabe continues to receive very costly medical help at the Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore, funded by the Zimbabwean treasury. It is unfortunate that after over 37 years of leading Zimbabwe, there is no hospital in the country good enough to treat the old man. Robert Mugabe once said “The only white man you can trust is a dead white man” yet it is that same alive white man he trusts with his life. Robert Mugabe has been in Singapore for over a month with little support from Grace Mugabe who happens to be in similarly poor health in Singapore.
