Nigeria Decides 2019: Young Candidates Akin Alabi, Shina Peller, Banky W Welcomed To Federal House Of Representatives?

It has been a very long day for many Nigerians in the country as we await final election results for Presidency and National Assembly. February 23rd, 2019 is set to mark a turning point in the nation’s future and political climate. Several citizens have been waiting for years for a chance to lead and enact positive changes. Some of these citizens are young and experiencing their very first foray into politics.

A Review Of Some Of The Young Candidates For Federal House Of Representatives 2019:

  • Shina Peller – All Peoples Congress (APC) Party. Owner of top Lagos Nightclub, Quilox.
  • Akin Alabi – All Peoples Congress (APC) Party. Owner of Sports Betting Company, Nairabet.
  • Banky W – Modern Democratic Party (MDP). Musician & Actor. First foray into politics.
  • Babajide Obanikoro – All Peoples Congress (APC) Party. Offspring of a political family. A preferred candidate of political godfather, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As of 11.59pm of February 23rd, 2019, election results are yet to be confirmed by Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Live results coming in hourly dictate that MDP candidate Banky W and APC candidate Babajide Obanikoro are both within the top 3 of their constituency. Both men are running for the same seat at the Federal House of Representatives. We will continue to monitor the success of above 4 listed men and post official results on this page. We hope Nigeria decides strongly in the final election results.
