As the 2023 general elections draw nearer, political gladiators in the All Progressive Congress (APC) seem to have begun campaign as posters of Vice President Yemi osinbajo and Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje surface in strategic streets of Kano State.
The posters carrying the inscription “Osinbajo – Ganduje Alliance (OGA), For Better Nigeria OGA Na Master”, were spotted in strategic locations across the state like the Muritala Mohammed way, Kano club roundabout, Independence way roundabout among others.
Leaders of the Alliance Support Group, Messrs Oluleke Moses and Bello Mohammed stated in Kano that they endorsed the candidature of the duo for a united and better Nigeria.
However, it is unknown to the public if the candidates have secured Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC party ticket to succeed Buhari.
Moreover, Osinbajo has disassociated himself from the presidential campaign posters. He made clarifications via his special assistant on media, Laolu Akande, that he has not declared intention to contest for presidential election in 2023 as being speculated.
He added that he is not in anyway connected with the distribution and deployment of any political posters whether online or on the streets, rather, he reiterated that he is focused on working in his capacity as the Vice President in the current administration to address all the compelling issuesand concerns in the country.
Besides, rumors surrounding his 2023 presidential ambitions first emerged in May 2021 which was denounced and said he was committed to addressing issues in the country including the concerns of insecurity among other challenges bedeviling the country.
