Godwin Emefiele is the current Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria since June 3, 2014. Before his appointment as the CBN governor, he served as the Chief Executive officer and Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc as well as the Deputy Managing Director since 2001 and Executive Director in charge of Corporate Banking, Treasury, Financial Control and Strategic Planning and had been on the bank’s Management team since its establishment.
