Ever since U.S President Donald Trump became a public figure he has been affiliated with his obsession with including racist remarks in most of his statements. As a real- estate developer in the 1970s, he was noted for his unflattering racist comments to his workers and subordinates. As a politician today, he continues to affiliate bad attributes with other non-white races, such as when he described the Mexicans as rapists during his campaign. However, the U.S President describes himself as “the least racist person” in his own words, which makes the rest of the world wonder if he doesn’t actually hear himself when he makes these cringing racist comments. It can be agreed that Donald Trump is not a symbol of equality or anything that stands for equality as he continues to talk and treat people based on their race. Here are top 3 scandals which come close to proving that Donald Trump is, in fact, racist to a great extent, even if the rest of the world shies away from admitting this seemingly true fact:
- Trump’s real-estate company tried to avoid renting apartments to African-Americans in the 1970s and gave preferential treatment to whites, as stated by the federal government.
- He has spent years suggesting that the nation’s first black president was not born in the U.S but in Kenya which was basically the foundation for his rise in politics, a blatant lie that Trump still refuses to acknowledge.
- David Duke, who is the former leader of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK), a white supremacist racist group which continuously terrorized the African-American race during both the pre and post-slavery era before its abolishment, endorsed Donald Trump’s presidency. The U.S president remained reluctant to disclaim Duke even when directly asked on television.
