Top 3 Ways To Minimize Phone Usage and Addiction

There came food addiction. Drugs addiction. Intimacy addiction. Shopping addiction; and now the world battles cell phone addiction. The dangers of cell phone usage have been spelt out in many scholarly articles. Addiction to cell phones minimizes productivity and endangers livelihood. There have been cases of radiation poisoning emitted from cell phones and cases of fire hazards from misuse of cell phones.

3 Ways To Minimize Phone Usage and Addiction:

  1. Downgrade to an insignificant phone. If it helps, go as far back as a basic 2G phone. Definitely avoid owning or using more than 1 phone.
  2. If you must use a smart phone, reduce the number of applications installed. If you’re a game addict, uninstall all games or limit to 1 or a maximum of 2. If you’re a social media addict, uninstall all social apps or limit to a maximum of 1.
  3. Switch off your phone periodically. You need to “fast” off your addiction. You can decide to use phones only within the hours of 7am and 3pm or decide to not use phones at all on weekends. Have significant time away from your phone.

You will be okay, your security will not be compromised, all your fears will be just that, fears. You can wean yourself off your phone addiction.
