In a statement provided to Business Traveller , British Airways, UK’s largest international airline revealed its decision to suspend flights between London Heathrow and Angolan capital, Luanda which is regarded as one of the most expensive cities in the world.
The Popular UK airline stated: “We are suspending our twice weekly service from London Heathrow to Luanda as the flights are not commercially viable. “We are sorry for any disruption this may cause to customers’ travel plans. “Affected customers due to fly with British Airways after June 7 on south bound flights and June 9 on north bound flights will be offered a full refund or can alternatively be re-booked on an earlier service in late May or early June.”
The decision will leave the UK airline without a scheduled, nonstop service to Luanda.
