Adam Nuru as of January 2021 holds the position of Chief Executive officer of First City Momument Bank (FCMB) Nigeria of which the Balogun family have significant ownership. Prior to Nuru’s appointment as CEO, Ladi Balogun was CEO, Ladi’s father Subomi Balogun was Chairman and Nuru was Executive Director of Business Development. Nuru is said to have been a loyal employee of the bank for over a decade. His prior roles include Regional Director of Abuja and Northern Nigeria.
Nuru is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he obtained a degree in Business Administration. Post graduation, he has accumulated over 3 decades of work experience in Nigeria’s banking industry. He hails from Kwara State and is married to Hauwa Nuru with children.
How Did A Change.org Petition Erupt Against Adam Nuru at the start of 2021?
A young man named Tunde Thomas “Tunde Gentle” passed on aged 45 in December 2020 due to “heart failure”. Friends and family of Tunde Gentle strongly believe Adam Nuru and Tunde Gentle’s estranged wife are the cause of Gentle’s heart failure at a young age. Gentle’s wife, Moyo Thomas, was a former employee of FCMB who worked directly under her married boss Adam Nuru. Adam and Moyo were alleged to be in a secret rendezvous which produced Moyo’s 2 kids for Moyo’s marriage to Tunde. Tunde raised both kids as his while Moyo and Adam, according to friends of Tunde, carried on their deceitful, illicit rendezvous. A couple of years before Tunde passed on, Moyo migrated with both kids to the USA. While there she broke the news to Tunde that he is not the father of either of her children and according to sources, Tunde was never the same again after losing his wife and kids and learning that the kids he loved with everything were not actually his and he may never see them again.
