Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, former of Gombe State between May 2011- May 2019 was born April 4, 1962 at Herwagana, Gombe.
Hassan obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University in 1985, a Master’s degree in Economics from University of Lagos, 1982 and a PhD in Accounting from Igbenedion University.
According to Forbes, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo net worth is estimated to be between $1 million- $5 million which was made from his primary career as an economist. Hassan began his career with Coopers & Lynbrand now Price Water House Coopers in 1985, then moving on to work at the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1998.
In 1999, Dankwambo became the Accountant-General of Gombe State, holding that position till he was appointed as the Accountant-General of the federation on 20 April 2005. He also served on the board of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
In January 2011, Hassan resigned to start his campaign for election as governor of Gombe State and on 26 April 2011 election, he had the highest votes surpassing his opponents with over 300 thousand votes. As a Governor, Dankwambo lost his Deputy, David Albashi who died on 4 November 2011 in Germany after sustaining injuries in a car crash on 28 August 2011. Dankwambo appointed a new Deputy, Tha’anda Rubainu on 17 December 2011 and after his re- election in 2015, Charles Illiya became the Deputy governor.
