Aminu Babangida, in his fourth decade of life, became the Chairman of one of Nigeria’s top 10 banks. Aminu Babangida is the last son of famed Nigerian billionaire and former president, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB). IBB is one of Nigeria’s richest men who garnered military and political power post-colonization at a time when Nigeria unearthed her oil wealth. Aminu Babangida became Chairman of Unity Bank by Succeeding retired chairman Thomas Etuk in 2017. Prior to that, Aminu was Vice Chairman, a position we attained due mostly to his father’s investments in the bank.
