Bestman P Anekwe is a Nigerian business Mann and Oil tycoon. Bestman is the chairman of Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO), a company well known for distribution of oil products in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum (LPG) in Nigeria.
Nipco started its business with a pereoleum storage tank farm at Dockyard Road, Apapa, Lagos and presently handles annually a throughput of 1.9 billion litres. One of Nipco’s accomplishment is the introduction of CNG as an environment friendly, economical and safe alternative automotive fuel in the country which was approved by the Federal Government in 2007 resulting to a joint agreement with Nigeria Gas Company (NGC) and the formation of Green Gas Limited (GGL) for its implementation in Benin City.
Another major accomplishment is Nipco’s Liquefied Petroleum (LPG) storage and distributional terminal at Apapa which was commissioned in 2009. LPG is an ultra modern facility with a high level of automation and ranks among the biggest storage facilities in Nigeria.
In 2019, Bestman Anekwe was awarded by the Nigeria Bar Association, Anaocha branch for his outstanding achievement in the oil and gas industry.
