The Place popularly known for its array of dishes including asun, grilled chicken, rice and yam dishes has grown progressively over the last decade and now operates in food services and hospitality business with locations in GRA Ikeja, Lekki, Victoria Island, Alausa and more.

The place, owned by The Smackers Limited and began operations in 2006 with The Place Restaurant at GRA Ikeja was founded by Kola Adewale.

Kola Adewale has built a business that is stable amidst pandemic and economic recession and remains committed to satisfying the food and pleasure needs of customers.

Adewale holds a Bachelors degree in Agricultural Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University where he graduated with first class. Upon graduation, he began his career at Arthur Andersen as an Audit and Accounting staff where he worked for 6 years before moving into Business/Management Consulting and Accounting for his next ten years at Arthur Andersen, now KPMG.

Foodville, an on-site and off site retail outlet is also run by the business consultant. With outlets in Abuja, Delta and Lagos, Foodville is acclaimed for its skilled culinary team professional Chefs and the service of the staffs.
