YDP was a top trends on Twitter on Wednesday, October 14 (#YouthDemocraticParty) and it is a call for youths to focus more on voting-in promising young candidates against the 2023 elections and all other elections moving forward. According to tweets under the hashtag, Nigerian youths want a complete rebuild of the system that has failed since 1960 independence. Many are of the opinion that the older generation failed badly, hence the reason why it is necessary for the younger generation to take over the system. On financial note for the creation and running of the party, a twitter user suggested that an online fundraiser be created so that youths would collectively donate to enable them register the party and support candidates.
