Forbes releases list of Africa’s richest billionaires on Wednesday, January 9. According to Forbes, Four people fell of the annual list of the continent’s richest since a year ago while one returned to the ranks after a four-year absence. Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote, who is Africa’s richest man for the eighth consecutive time retained his position as the richest man in Africa. However, It shows that the business mogul dropped by $2billion as to his last year’s net worth from $12.2 billion in January 2018 to $10 billion in 2019.

The chief executive officer of Globacom, Mike Adenuga, was number 2 on the list with $9.2 billion as compared to his last year’s networth of $5.3billion. However, Nigeria’s richest woman, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, dropped to $1.1billion from $1.3billion ranking 19th on the list.

Nigeria’s cement mogul and owner of BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, featured on the list for the first time since 2015 with $1.6billion networth.
