I Encourage Miss World Africa To Stop Wearing Fake Hair And Keep Her Natural African Hair – President Of Uganda

The 2018 Miss World Beauty Pageant took place on the 8th of December in China. Vanessa Ponce from Mexico took home the crown. Ponce is the first woman from Mexico to win the Miss World Pageant. The second runner up was Quiin Abenakyo from Uganda. Abenakyo will reign as Miss World Africa and Miss World Uganda for the next year.

Upon her return from China to Uganda, Quiin was well received and visited the President and first lady. The president, Yoweri Museveni, later tweeted: 
 “Abenakyo is indeed a tall, beautiful Musoga girl. My only concern is that she was wearing Indian hair. I have encouraged her to keep her natural, African hair. We must show African beauty in its natural form.”
