Bamidele Olumilua is one of the most notable names in Ekiti State politics in Nigeria. Well into his 7th decade of life, the strong man was Governor of Old Ondo State (Now Ekiti) in the early 1990s and has remain a strong figure in political matters in the nation. Bamidele Olumilua lives in Ondo State with his wife, Pastor Theresa Olumilua and other family members. He is God father and political advisor to many including his son and governor aspirant of Ondo State, Olumuyiwa Olumilua, Ayodele Fayose, past governor of Ekiti State and Dapo Abiodun, recently elected governorship candidate for Ogun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) party (Read: Who Is Dapo Abiodun?), and his daughter Mrs. Bolanle Olumilua Oyesanya, a political aspirant in Ekiti state. Although this a strong figure in Nigerian politics and especially within the APC party, Bamidele Olumilua lives a quiet life, well retired in Ekiti State.
