Top 3 States With The Best Roads In Nigeria

There are 36 states in Nigeria which each have their own unique qualities and attributes. As it is well known to Nigerians, each state has been given its own special title based on its most unique and known quality, take for instance Rivers state which is known as the “Garden City of Nigeria” and Benue state which is known as the “Food Basket of the Nation”. However, when it comes to infrastructure, civilization and modernization as well as comfortable living some states take the lead ahead of others. For instance, Lagos state which is Nigeria’s Centre of Excellence and also the centre for commerce is known as the most modern state and as such one of the most civilized states to live in.

However, Nigerian road infrastructure is one of the major challenges the Nigerian Government still struggles to tackle till today even in major states. In this article, we will take a look at the top 3 states in Nigeria with the best roads, and unfortunately as modernized as Lagos state is it certainly didn’t make this list:

  1. Abuja, F.C.T is the Capital state of Nigeria and one of the states which the Nigerian government took time to develop properly. As the capital city, Abuja has the nation’s widest and best roads that can be found across the country. It is the most developed and comfortable state to live in.
  2. Calabar, Cross River State which is also known as the “People’s Paradise” is one of the most beautiful states in Nigeria. It is also one of the most comfortable states to live in with the best roads and is known for its serenity and neatness.
  3. Uyo, Akwa Ibom is another serene and developed state in Nigeria with good roads and is regarded as the “Land of Promise.” Its capital Uyo is one of the most modern cities in Nigeria today.
