Senator Joseph Waku, a Nigerian Politician, was born on June 12, 1946. He was elected Senator representing Benue NorthWest district at the National Assembly in 1999, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP). Senator Waku took office on May 29, 1999. After his term in office, he became active in a northern lobbying group named the Arewa Consultative Forum(ACF). Before his death, he was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council at the Federal University of Technology, Akure in Ondo State.
