The people of Ekiti State will be proceeding to the voting poll on Saturday, 14th of July to elect a new governor for the state. The main contest may be between the ruling party in the state ( Peoples Democratic Party PDP) and the main opposition which is also Nigeria’s ruling party (All Progressives Congress APC). Here are 3 major reasons why the PDP may come out victorious in the upcoming election:

1. The Popularity current the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose among his people is a fact that can’t be debated. He is much loved and cherished by the indigenes of the state and is said to understand the needs of his people and know the how best ways to please them. The party’s potential to be victorious at the election could greatly lie on the troops of supporters behind the governor if turned into votes.

3. The newspeak of Kayode Fayemi’s intentions to stop the state’s anti-open grazing law and allow the herdsmen to cause a bedlam in the state has some indigenes of Ekiti bought against the APC. Although the APC candidate is believed by a significant number of people to be involved in the propaganda in a bid to please President Buhari, he continues to deny the allegations.
