Few weeks ago, Governor Rochas Okorocha was declared the winner of Imo West Senatorial district. This was announced by Professor Francis Ibeawuchi, the INEC Returning officer at the collation center in Orlu Local Government Area (LGA), after Rochas and his thugs threatened and held the INEC officers hostage.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a list of senators elected for the ninth assembly, however, Rochas Okorocha is not listed among the senators-elect to receive certificates of return on Thursday 14, 2019. This development was made when the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Francis Ibeawuchi, claimed the winner was announced under duress. Following this, INEC is still investigating the issue and has failed to list anyone as the winner. However, Rochas has threatened to expose APC if INEC doesn’t declare him winner.
