Simon Achuba was appointed Deputy Governor of Kogi State of Nigeria in 2015. Born on July 13th, 1964, Simon Achuba has been involved in Nigerian politics since 1995. He was elected into Kogi State House of Assembly in 1999 and served two terms. His last term in Kogi State House of Assembly, Simon Achuba was elected as Deputy Speaker of the House. Prior to becoming Deputy Governor in 2015, Achuba’s political role was
chairman of Kogi State Environmental Protection Board.
